Virtual Sessions
What are Virtual Sessions?
No, we are not playing with virtual reality and you don’t need an expensive headset. These are essentially sessions done over a video chat service like facetime, facebook video, skype, but instead of being there in person, we do it virtually.
I will guide you on how to set up your room to get the most optimal lighting, where to position your camera phone or webcam and even help you move furniture around for the best results. After that is done, we act like it is a normal session. I pose you and guide you step by step from your chin to your toes. I’ll take snaps with the camera and tell you to move this and that until it’s perfect, I will even demonstrate how to do the pose myself and the results are magic. Who knew your place could look so photogenic?
We will have a pre-consult video call beforehand to make sure the conditions are optimal, that way we can waste less time during your actual shoot.
Is the quality the same?
Aside from me not being there in person. The quality of the photos won’t be as print worthy as with my actual expensive professional camera. The pricing for this lower resolution reflects this. BUT they are more than great enough to post on social media. The exception to this rule are shower shots!
We found a way to retain the quality of a professional camera by using a hack I personally came up with. Other photographers across Canada and the US have been using my method for their clients and everyone is loving it. They are quite steamy and will get many likes if you dare post anything on social media. Everyone’s loving them so much.
Who would you recommend virtual shoots for?
There are two scenarios where virtual shoots are perfect for you.
If you are thinking about doing a shoot but are too scared to be so vulnerable in front of a stranger, a virtual shoot is the baby step you need. You get to be in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by the things you love, and have complete safety and control of the entire situation. The benefit is that we get to bond and chat and you get to experience what a shoot with me is like. You’ll quickly realize that despite how good and serious the final results look in my portfolio, the shoots themselves are full of jokes and all about having fun. Once you start to see the results and see yourself as ‘one of those models in your portfolio’ you’ll start to trust me and my crazy sounding methods. We will build rapport and when we meet in person finally for your real in person shoot, it will be as if we are old friends reconnecting.
The other person I would recommend virtual shoots for is someone who can’t afford a full boudoir photoshoot pampering experience. We skip all the bells and whistles. No makeover, No Lingerie discount or shopping day. No fancy studio background being set up just for you. Just easy peasy. Come as you are. Even the editing is minimal. So as a result, you get to experience a shoot and show off that you did one but you don’t need to save up months in order to have some results.
