Transcript ( Video 1 - Amy dying her hair red and how the makeover made her feel):
2 days before the shoot, I decided to change my hair colour and now looking back at it, I’m so glad I did. It looks amazing and it definitely popped in a lot of the outfits. Everything was just perfect. I am definitely glad I did the makeover option, having Ty do my hair and make it look all fab, and my makeup, my lashes were out there! and it was like so, was such a confidence boost. It helped me prepare (mentally) for the shoot.
I think my favourite part of the shoot, was just feeling like a baddie. Feeling empowered by myself in how I looked and felt and even seeing the photos we just took, the raw photos, it was liked ‘That’s me! HOW!?’

Transcript (Video 2 - How society tells us to feel about ourselves and the realization after an empowering boudoir shoot)
So before that, I basically was very nervous and was self conscious, as every woman feels I’m sure. because we are told to hate our bodies and look like the models in magazines. So I was very self conscious even though I have no reason to be. But after seeing the photos I was like ‘dam..I’m good looking!’

Transcript (Video 3 - Amy’s first reaction to opening up The Retro Viewer):
[Opening a box…]
Oh it’s like a legit….oh my goodness.
(Brings retro viewer to eyes) Ok that’s frikken cool! (laughs)
THAT IS SO COOL! omg that’s so much better than I expected.
This is like something cool that when my girl friends come over I can be like ‘So I did this thing…’ It’s a little risque but is also a super 90’s kid thing. So it was very nostalgic. If you think of it that way.
It’s a little party trick now. Literally I have never even heard of anyone doing a boudoir shoot and having a retro viewer as their way of taking their photos home with them.
(brings it up to eyes again)…yeah it’s cool…that is so cool oh my god.
Interviewer: Who is the first person you’re going to show this to?
Amy: Probably my roommates. 100% because they already knew that I was coming here to see it and everything.
They’re like ‘so we wanna see it!’

Transcript (Video 4 - Self love growing and life changes after the shoot):
So what I took away from this experience was more self confidence and more self love than I already had for myself. It actually pushed me to be a lot more athletic and to take care of my body a lot better than I was before because now I do CrossFit. As well as pole. It’s been an interesting journey, my body hates me some days physically but I feel so much better and more confident and I’m allowing myself to say I am beautiful.
I look in the mirror now and i’m like ‘oh yea, that’s me!’ and I love what I’m seeing.
